Rosalie Furlong

A prolific and imaginative designer and maker, Rosalie has had work in solo and joint shows throughout Britain, won prizes at specialist exhibitions, and her work has found its way to homes in Europe, Canada and Australia.  Rosalie enrolled at Glasgow School of Art on her 18th birthday, following careful tutelage by 'Artie' Dougall of Dingwall Academy during the late 1950's. She specialised in graphic design, and went on to teach in Glasgow, Dumbarton and North Ayrshire. Her special interest however was textiles, and in particular embroidery and quilting.

She designs and makes large and small pieces, each with a story of its own.
