"I have been painting since my retirement from teaching 20 years ago. I trained at Glasgow School of Art and Jordanhill College and taught for many a year, mainly here in the Highlands as a visiting specialist.

Painting professionally has been an eye opener and steep learning curve; inspirational artists like Joan Eardley and Joseph Crawhill have helped me on my way.

I use acrylics on canvas and board, love colour and texture and am drawn, as far as subject matter goes, to the quirky, amusing and intriguing things I see round about, taking it in from bike rides and walks - in lockdown times, mainly the fields behind my house, thus the common theme of sheep, hares and roe deer! Always fun."
