Formerly Golspie Gallery, we have now relocated a little further south, and can be found at 48 High Street, Dingwall IV15 9HL, where we look forward to seeing visitors both old and new.
Alchemist Gallery is very easy to find, at the east end of Dingwall's main shopping street. Look out for our dark blue frontage.
We are based in an old chemist's shop, formerly known as 'Dewar and Hay', where original features from over 170 years ago have been revealed and preserved during our extensive rennovations.
Cyclists are welcome to use the rack up the vennel when visiting the High Street.
Dingwall; a grand day out. whatever the weather!
The former county town of Dingwall sits against the majestic backdrop of Ben Wyvis, at the head of the Cromarty Firth, and is on the NC500 route. If, like us, you enjoy having real conversations, with real people, in the real world, we think Dingwall High Street is well worth a browse.
The town offers locals and visitors alike a great range of services, quality independent shops, a selection of good places to eat, is home to a busy auction market, and has a rich and fascinating history. The town hall is home to Dingwall museum, which offers a wealth of information about the ‘locals’; from the Picts to the Vikings and onwards through the years.
There is plenty of free parking signposted throughout the town, with electric vehicle charging available in the public car parks. Or you can take the bus or train; both stop nearby 'our' end of the High Street.
Dingwall train station is on both the stunning Kyle and Far North Lines, making it a great base for taking a great scenic rail journey to see both the east and west coasts of the North Highlands. A wide range of local accommodation options also mean staying a while in town, or nearby in beautiful rural Ross-shire is easy.
