peridot oxidised silver drop earrings by Peridot August Collection
Drop earrings with peridot beads and rough diamond nuggets crocheted with fine silver wire set in a hammered sterling silver ring. The silver has been oxidised to a dark gun metal grey. Well made in the Highlands for us by Catherine.
Always a green colour, lovely peridot gems are the birthstone of August and the star sign Leo. They are also associated with a 16th wedding anniversary. Sometimes called an ‘evening emerald’ as in artificial light, the stone glows a brilliant green. Cleopatra’s famous emeralds are now thought to have been peridots! They are symbols of opportunity and prosperity and wearing them is believed to bring confidence, power, good luck and good health.
The rings are 2.75cm in diameter and the length from the top of the handmade, long length sterling silver earwires to the bottom of the ring is 5.5cm. These earrings match the peridot oxidised pendant in this collection.
