I’m hugely proud of my Highland roots and heritage, and feel that draws me towards an infinity with an ornamental art form, developed by both ancient and modern Celts. I may not work on metal or stone, but through the mists of time I am influenced to develop pattern from curves and spaces. This collection of new work brings together my enjoyment of combining art and design. Decorative lines continue to link the past and future.

Marjory Tait met Fiona Kearney at art school 30 years ago, when they vowed to have an exhibition together. We are delighted to be the Gallery to host this, a long overdue first for both very talented Highland artists.
Marjory lives on the family croft above Loch Ness, spending time in nature, observing plants and animals in their natural habitat. Her new work for Labyrinth is inspired by both local flora and fauna, recreating a series of Spirit Animals in her own Celtic style.
With a BA Honours Degree in Design and Craft, specialising in Graphics, Marjory was the Head of Art and Design in a Highland secondary school for nearly 20 years.
