I am always inspired by my Scottish surroundings. I love the fields that change dramatically as the seasons progress, the huge skies where I live, the small details in plants as they grow. I try and capture the mood and feel of the scenery through both drawing and bold colours. I start everything with a drawing, and work into it from there. I love texture, I love colour! I love mixing an Impressionist feel with finer detail. Having trained as a textile designer, whenever I paint, I automatically visualise it on a lampshade or cushion. As a result, I have adapted some of my work for a range of textiles to add to my collection. To compliment my growing homeware brand I developed a range of candles. I have always loved candles, so wanted them to be beautifully scented and made with the best quality products. This has been a labour of love, and I now have 11 scents for candles, melts and diffusers - all divine, and available at Alchemist!
