Learn techniques to create small creative prints using tetrapac packaging, an alternative to lino. This is a versatile, readily available printing medium, which is surprisingly sensitive to mark making. The process lends itself to quite bold designs…bring along your ideas and sketchbooks. We will experiment printing onto found object paper including magazines that have a matte surface and ombré papers.

It is a messy process so wear old clothes. Please bring the following: a sharp craft knife (available to purchase from Alchemist Gallery for £4.95 if needed), protective gloves if you don’t want inky fingers, packet of wet wipes and kitchen roll, any papers you might want to use from home.

The workshop will take place in a venue with ground level access. Bus stop and train station nearby. Free parking available in nearby town centre carparks. No refunds.

Jane's exhibition, 'A Fragment of Paradise’, is open to the public and runs from 9th April until 26th May at Alchemist Gallery, Dingwall. Alongside her limited print run book of the same title, it tells the 25-year story of the creation of an abundant garden from nothing on the western edge of the Outer Hebrides. It is truly joyful. Jane runs Blue Pig Studio, Carloway on the Isle of Lewis.

You can view the works in Jane's exhibition and find out more about her garden and works before and after the workshop. The Gallery is open Tuesday to Saturday 10am to 5pm and exhibition entry is free.
