Carolyn is an artist based in the Highlands of Scotland. Her artistic style blends traditional techniques with contemporary flair, ensuring that each piece is a true reflection of her creativity.
She began her artistic journey using acrylics in 2008. Over the last few years, however, her practice has undergone a significant evolution. Embracing oil painting, she has moved away from pointilism towards a dynamic blend of abstract, impressionist, and expressionist techniques.
Her influences - ranging from Suzanne Valadon and Edoaurd Vuillard to Paul Klee and Gustav Klimt - inform both her aesthetic and her approach. Her work invites the viewer to experience the vitality and shifting moods through a lens of colour and abstraction.
She is a member of the Society of Scottish Artists, the Society of Women Artists, Women in the Arts Scotland and the Art Society of Inverness
