Your Own Creative Space?

We like having other creators and makers in our studio space. If you are a maker, artist, designer or other type of creative individual who may be interested in joining us at any point, we look forward to hearing from you.

Contact us to discuss your requirements, or better still come to this lovely coastal village, and see all that’s on offer.

Good quality and realistically priced, our unique approach to room hire creates opportunities for you to drive your own development. We are not supported by public funding, meaning we are unhindered in who we can accommodate; including students, commercial enterprises, or someone simply needing a bit of hobby space and time.

This year we were home to jewellery and weaving studios, and  Jenn MacKay Photography is currently working on site. We also have a dedicated exhibition / teaching area, storage facilities, and a local artist who drops in for some dedicated painting time when she can.

We have also provided space for art classes, photography shoots and performing arts shows, as well as housing makers needing additional room for short term projects.

Our accessible, spacious, flexible areas include kitchen and toilet facilities, wi-fi, and free nearby parking. If required, there are also established on-site retail and wider marketing opportunities.

Work, Studio, Meeting, Teaching or Storage Space Available

Individuals, groups or tutors can hire work / studio, meeting, teaching or storage space by the hour, day, week or longer; to create, plan, share, develop their practice, or fulfil commissions.

Rental rates are based on a case-by-case basis, dependent on the space, time and facilities required. We aim to work with you to provide what suits.

Just get in touch with your requests.

Exhibition Space

Our dedicated exhibition space is available for solo or joint shows throughout the year.

Exhibitors are encouraged to run or support at least one on-site activity that inspires interest and encourages footfall, during their show; perhaps by hosting a talk, demonstration or workshop.

Exhibitions have to be viable, so a charge to cover administration, hanging and marketing costs, offset against any sales commission, will apply for dedicated exhibitions.

If this is of interest, please send some representative images of your work initally.

Creative Residencies

We can work with local accommodation providers to offer self-funded creative residencies in this great part of the Scottish Highlands. Contact us to discuss your requirements for some dedicated creative time and space.
